"labels" and "short descriptions"

As far as I can understand, an object can have one label and one description.

The Englsih strings here, however, say "labels" and "short descriptions". Why is it written in plural?

Can "labels" be changed to "label"?

And can "short descriptions" be changed to "short description" or, even better, just "description"? Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 23:51, 10 March 2024 (UTC)

I guess it’s really a question for @DVrandecic (WMF). The object may contain many labels and many descriptions but only one of each for any given language. I agree it looks odd in the overwhelming majority of cases when you can only see or enter one value in the field. GrounderUK (talk) 00:19, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
