Add an optional locale

In order to make this work correctly in different locales, probably an optional locale argument should be added but apparently optional argument isn't support yet. The other options would be to make locale an always needed argument or create a different locale aware function. Ebrahim (talk) 05:31, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
